Volunteers needed for 11th annual Occoquan River Cleanup this coming Saturday, Sept. 12

This Saturday, Sept. 12, is the date for the 11th Annual Occoquan River Cleanup sponsored by the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition. The cleanup will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will range along the length of the Occoquan River from Cedar Run/Broad Run, through Lake Jackson, and from the base of the Lake Jackson Dam to Hooes Run and the Town of Occoquan.

During last year’s cleanup (2019) 205+ volunteers (45 on-water) collected over 4,495 pounds of trash.  Interested participants should register at http://www.pwtsc.org for additional information and weather cancellation updates.

For cleanup supplies, data sheets to report cleanup data, and to share pictures, contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Participants are asked to maintain social distancing and wear face masks as appropriate.
