This Saturday, Sept. 12, is the date for the 11th Annual Occoquan River Cleanup sponsored by the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition. The cleanup will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will range along the length of the Occoquan River from Cedar Run/Broad Run, through Lake Jackson, and from the base of the Lake Jackson Dam to Hooes Run and the Town of Occoquan.
During last year’s cleanup (2019) 205+ volunteers (45 on-water) collected over 4,495 pounds of trash. Interested participants should register at http://www.pwtsc.org for additional information and weather cancellation updates.
