Volunteers needed April 6 at Park Day at Bristoe Station Battlefield

Volunteers are needed beginning at 8 a.m. in Bristow on Saturday, April 6 for Park Day. That’s when history buffs and preservationists from around the country will team up with the Civil War Trust to help clean and restore some of America’s priceless battlefields, cemeteries and shrines during Park Day.

In Prince William County, Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park will participate in Park Day. Volunteers of all ages and ability levels are welcome, and many activities are appropriate for groups such as scout troops or corporate outings. Meet at Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park parking lot, located at the corner of Iron Brigade Unit Ave and Tenth Alabama Way, Bristow, VA 20136.

Needs range from litter pick up, trail construction/maintenance and fence restoration. Light refreshments will be provided for volunteers thanks to Prince William Historic Preservation Foundation.
