Victim of Feb. 1 fire in Dale City home dies

The man who was injured in Feb. 1, 2022, house fire in Dale City and was flown to a regional burn center succumbed to his injuries Sunday morning, Feb. 6, 2022, at the Washington Hospital Center, according to Matt Smolsky, Deputy Chief of Prince William Fire and Rescue. The victim was identified as Mohammad Bashir Kahn, 83.
Smolsky said the actual cause of death has not yet been determined.. The fire at the victim’s home was determined to be electrical in nature and accidental, according to the fire official.
