Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Residential Burglary – On October 19 at 6:17AM, officers responded to the Rolling Brook apartments located in the 12700 block of Wood Hollow Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary in progress.
The victim, a 30-year-old woman, reported to police that an unknown man, later identified as the accused, attempted to force entry into her apartment armed with a sword. The victim was able to prevent the man from entering her home and was cut to her hand in the process.
Officers arrived on scene and encountered the accused still armed with the weapon. The accused was challenged by officers and complied before being detained without further incident. The investigation further revealed that the accused was seen earlier in the morning walking around the parking lot and previously encountered other residents of the complex. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Sean Patrick GENTRY, was arrested.
