**INCIDENTS**
Malicious Wounding – On April 7th at 11:31PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2800 block of Foster Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic disturbance. The investigation revealed the victim, a 43 year old woman of Woodbridge, and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter the accused pushed and struck the victim. At one point the accused held her down while he cut her arm with glass. The accused fled the residence when the assault was interrupted by a family member. The victim was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Residential Burglary – On April 7th at 2:12PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4700 block of Koester Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:30AM and 2:12PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry in the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecure door of the residence. A computer, an iPod, jewelry, and other property, total value around $7,200, were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On April 7th at 11:25AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3300 block of Pickwick Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he heard the sound of glass breaking in the basement area of his residence. When the homeowner looked outside, he observed two unknown men walking from the behind the residence in the direction of the front yard. While the homeowner was contacting police, his residential alarm activated. Both suspects fled the area prior to police arriving at the home. A police K-9 was used to assist in the search for the suspects. No entry was gained into the residence and no property was reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On April 7th at 7:00AM, officer responded to a residence located in the 3700 block of Thomasson Crossing Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he heard a loud sound coming from another area of the residence. When the homeowner checked the kitchen area, he discovered an unknown male attempting to make entry through a secured door. The homeowner confronted the man which caused him to flee the area. Officers arriving on scene observed the man running in a nearby area which led to a brief foot pursuit that ended when the suspect ran into a nearby wooded area. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. No entry was gained into the residence and no property was reported missing.

Black male, between 16 & 21 years of age with a thin build and light complexion
Last seen wearing a black coat and blues jeans, carrying a black backpack
