Verbal altercation escalates in Woodbridge; man wanted for strangulation and assault & battery

On February 28 at 6:51AM, Prince William County police officers responded to the Elevations One Apartments located in the 14300 block of Jeffries Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic, according to Off. Renee Carr, police department representative.

Off. Carr said the victim, identified as a 25-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by the throat before shoving her into a wall and then onto the ground. The victim was able to separate herself from the accused and exit the apartment to contact a family member who contacted the police.

The accused fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Kyle Lamonte BUNTING Jr. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
