VDOT to close Compton Road May 10-11
Virginia Department of Transportation will close Compton Road (Route 658) to through traffic between Old Centreville Road and Mount Olive Road (Route 859) Tuesday, May 10 and Wednesday, May 11 to allow crews to replace a pipe.
The closures will occur from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Through traffic will be detoured via Old Centreville Road, Old Mill Road and Mount Olive Road back to Compton Road. Emergency personnel, residents of affected subdivisions along Compton Road and Upper Occoquan Sewage Authority personnel will still be able to access Compton Road by following the detour. Detour signage and message boards will be in place.
All work is weather permitting.
