Virginia Tourism is partnering with Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, using the 46-year-old Virginia is for Lovers logo to promote the assortment of alcoholic products made in the Commonwealth.
Five Virginia ABC stores were selected to participate in the promotion:
Warrenton (175 Lee Highway)
Vienna (436 East Maple Ave.)
Richmond (10 North Thompson St.)
Williamsburg (1244 Richmond Road)
Virginia Beach (405 30th St.)
These stores will be supplied with the extremely popular “Virginia is for Lovers” trucker hats that will be handed out with every purchase of a 750mL or larger size product made in Virginia. The purchase of any Virginia-made product only available in a size smaller than 750mL will also receive a hat. These giveaways apply to Virginia wine and spirits only.
Employees of the five stores will be wearing co-branded polo shirts for the duration of the promotion. The black polo shirts have the Virginia ABC logo on the front, and the Virginia is for Lovers logo on the sleeve.
Virginia Tourism President and CEO Rita McClenny was quoted in a news release as saying, “Teaming with Virginia ABC is a great way to showcase the great products Virginia has to offer. Virginia ABC stores carry a wide selection of Virginia wines and spirits that are perfect for any occasion.”
“Virginia ABC Chairman Jeffrey Painter was quoted as saying, “We look forward to continued partnerships that support local businesses and draw people to discover Virginia’s flourishing spirits and wine industries.”
