Va. State Police post Senior Alert for missing man

***VIRGINIA SENIOR ALERT ACTIVATION***
VSP has issued a Virginia Senior Alert on behalf of the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office for Nov. 23, 2015.

The Accomack Co Sheriff’s Office is looking for HOWARD SHRIEVES JR. He is a black male, age 80, approximately 6’1 and weighing approximately 175 lbs. He was last known to be driving a black 1999 Ford Escort with Virginia plate VKB 2761. He was wearing a blue plaid shirt, blue pants, black boots, blue jacket and a brown baseball cap.

The last contact with Mr. Shrieves was Nov. 19, 2015, when he left his home in Accomack county en-route to Pocomoke City, Maryland. He never arrived at his destination, and the last contact by cell phone he seemed confused and unable to give his exact location.

His cell phone was last tracked northeast of Fredericksburg, Virginia, at 1:18 a.m., Nov. 20, 2015.

The missing senior suffers from a cognitive impairment and the disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety, especially with the recent drop in temperatures into the 20s at night.
