Va. Rt. 28 (Nokesville Road) between Bristow Village Boulevard and Battalion Square will again be closed in both directions Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights so that crews can continue installing a storm sewer line, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. Closure times:
10 p.m. Friday, June 19 to 5 a.m. Saturday, June 20
10 p.m. Saturday, June 20 to 5 a.m. Sunday, June 21

The storm sewer line installation is part of Prince William County’s $69.9 million VA Rt. 28 widening project. Phase One, which involves relocating Vint Hill Road to VA Rt. 28’s intersection with Infantry Lane and widening Route 28 to six lanes between Linton Hall Road and the relocated Vint Hill Road, is scheduled for completion in July 2016.
Construction of Phase Two, which involves widening VA Rt. 28 to four lanes between the relocated Vint Hill Road and Fitzwater Drive, is scheduled to begin in March 2016 and has an estimated completion date of December 2017.
