Uptown Alley opening Aug. 23 at Manassas Mall

Uptown Alley entertainment and restaurant venue at Manassas Mall has announced it plans to open at 8300 Sudley Road, Manassas, Va, on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m.

The new facility features 24 high-tech bowling lanes, a professional sound stage for live entertainment, three high-energy bars, laser tag, interactive games with prize store and the Red Embers Bar & Grill. Red Embers’ menu highlights “the best in Americana cuisine”... “created by award-winning Chef Brad Rishmany,” a news release said. In addition, a professional full-service wait staff will be on duty throughout the venue including the bowling lanes.

Regular hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight; Fridays, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., Sundays, 10 a.m. to midnight.

Built at a cost of $11.5 million, the 46,000 square foot entertainment experience features Brunswick® regulation-sized bowling lanes designed for all types of bowlers, from beginner to experienced league bowler. There are ten private lanes.

Uptown Alley’s lanes have all the latest in the modern day bowling experience, including 15-foot projection HDTVs, black light party bowling experience, music videos, state-of-the-art scoring system and gutter bumpers for beginners.

Uptown Alley also has three full service bars, private VIP areas, billiard tables and sports and music video viewing, described as “fantastic,” and ideal for corporate outings, private parties and meetings as well as family get-togethers. There are more than 40 HDTVs throughout the venue. 

The massive two-story laser tag arena can accommodate up to 24 players at a time. Specialty lighting and music makes this innovative laser tag course one of the venue’s highlights. In the gaming area, visitors will discover more than 50 video and prize games, offering opportunities for every guest to find ways to challenge his or her skills and redeem points for great prizes.

The casual dining Red Embers Bar & Grill seats 150 guests indoors and another 40 outside on the spacious patio.  Menu items include a house specialty BBQ, hearth-oven pizza, scratch made and hand stretched pizza with Neapolitan style dough, traditional and boneless chicken wings, bacon mac and cheese and Uptown Alley’s very own “Big Uppy” burger, prepared in an open exhibition kitchen, the news release said.

Signature drinks, specialty martinis, 24 handcrafted draft beers, 30 bourbon and premium liquor selections will be available at the bars.

The Uptown Alley concept was co-created by Uphoff Ventures, led by Steve and Linda Uphoff, founders of the Uppy’s Convenience Store and Southside Oil chain, and Trifecta Management Group (TMG), comprised of executives from the entertainment/restaurant industry including Universal Studios® and GameWorks®.
