**UPDATES**

Armed Robberies *ARREST – On July 8th, detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify the suspects involved in the robbery and shooting which was reported to have occurred at the VA Nails located at 13953 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge on July 7th.

Through the investigation, detectives learned that the suspects, a 16 year old male juvenile and a 17 year old male juvenile, entered and robbed the business while two additional suspects, SMALLS and CARTER, acted as lookouts. Detectives further learned that the 17 year old male juvenile was the shooter in the incident.

On July 10th, detectives obtained arrest and search warrants relating to this investigation.

While investigating this robbery, detectives obtained information which led to an arrest of one of the suspects, MARBURY, involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred at the Exxon Service Station located at 3514 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge on June 9th. Detectives were able to locate and arrest all parties involved.

Armed Robbery | Shooting [Previously Released] – On July 7th at 3:39PM, police responded to VA Nails located at 13953 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that two unknown, masked men entered the store and approached the counter. During the encounter, one of the males displayed a handgun and stole the cash register and other items from customers before both men fled on foot. The business owner, a 39 years old man of Fairfax, attempted to chase after the men. At one point during the chase, the armed suspect shot at him. The owner was not shot and no other injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On June 9th at 11:21PM, police responded to the Exxon Service Station located at 3514 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that three unknown, masked men entered the business and approached the counter. One of the men displayed a handgun and demanded money. All three men fled the business with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the business and a patron’s wallet and cell phone before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.

Barionn Jaronzo CARTER, 18, of 2732 Winston Ct in Woodbridge
Charged with 3 counts of robbery, 1 count of conspiracy to commit a felony, and 1 count of using a firearm in commission of a felony

Diamonte Cordell MARBURY, 19, of 2270 West Longview Dr in Woodbridge
Charged with 2 counts of robbery, 2 counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony, 2 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and 2 counts of wearing a mask in public
