Updates: County Police make arrests in three open cases

Sexual Assault Investigation *ARREST – On January 31, Jose Elias GOMEZ turned himself into police without incident at the Adult Detention Center in Manassas. The accused was wanted for a sexual assault which occurred at a residence in Woodbridge in November of 2016.

Sexual Assault Investigation [Previously Released] – On January 25, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which allegedly occurred at a residence located in Dumfries (22025) in November of 2016. The investigation revealed that the victim, now a 15-year-old juvenile female, was sexually assaulted by the accused, identified as a family member. The victim recently disclosed the incident to a family member and police were contacted. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Abduction *ARREST – On January 31, members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Perry Marquelle FORD in Washington, D.C. The accused was wanted for an assault which took place at a residence located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries on October 30. The accused remains in custody in Washington, D.C., pending extradition back to Virginia.

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Abduction [Previously Released] – On October 30 at 6:26PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 23-year-old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance were involved in a verbal argument which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim causing minor injuries. The victim then contacted a family member, identified as a 28-year-old woman of Alexandria, who came to the residence and attempted to intervene. At that point the accused grabbed a knife and threated both women. The accused then left the residence with the victim’s 1-year-old son and car keys. As the victims attempted to stop the accused from driving away with the child, he lunged at both of them with the knife. Later that evening, the accused returned to the residence and gave the child back to the victim. The police were not immediately contacted and the accused left the residence prior to police arriving at the home. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Perry Marquelle FORD. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful. 

Indecent Exposure *ARREST – On January 31, Connie Ray SCOTT was located and arrested. The accused was wanted for an indecent exposure which occurred at a business located in the 7500 block of Linton Hall Rd in Bristow on January 19.

Indecent Exposure [Previously Released] – On January 19 at 12:42PM, officers responded to the 7500 block of Linton Hall Rd in Bristow (20155) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 55-year-old woman of Gainesville, reported to police that on January 16 at 2:30PM, a customer who was later identified as the accused, entered the business and requested to speak with her. Once inside an office, the accused exposed himself to the victim before leaving the business. Following the investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant for the accused but attempts to locate him have been unsuccessful.

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On January 31 at 5:25PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10600 block of Meadow Grove Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported that the burglary occurred sometime between 8:45AM and 5:00PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a rear window which was shattered by a brick. Money and a computer tablet were reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 31 at 4:43PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 16900 block of Porters Inn Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the apartment reported that sometime between 1:45PM and 2:15PM, entry was attempted into the apartment through a window which had the screen removed. No entry was made into the apartment and no property was reported missing.
