Independence non-traditional school under construction, set to open in fall of 2018
The first Prince William County nontraditional school for students from kindergarten through grade 12 is under construction and on track to see full occupancy in August 2018.
The school will provide a full curriculum and range of services and programs, including internships within the career and technical education trades programs.
The school, located at the corner of Joplin and Aden Roads in Manassas, will merge and expand successful offerings of the New Directions and New Dominion Alternative Education Centers and PACE East.
New Directions Principal Robert Eichorn was named principal of the new school on July 1, 2016.
