Northern Virginia Family Services’ Healthy Families Annual Picnic is being held September 6, 4pm-7pm at Signal Hill Park, 9300 Signal View Drive, Manassas Park 20111. Fun-loving volunteers age 13+ are needed to assist with set up/break down, engage kids and their guardians at fun activity stations such as Chalk Area, Obstacle Course, Infant Tummy Time Tent, etc. Volunteers 16+ welcome, volunteers 13-15 must volunteer with a parent. Please be prepared to work the full shift; volunteers should be vaccinated. Volunteer Prince William’s VETS program needs Volunteer Drivers age 21+ to provide transportation for veterans and their spouse/widow to medical appointments, supermarkets, retail and houses of worship. Schedules are flexible and most rides are done between 8:30am-3pm. · American Cancer Society provides free rides to treatment for people with cancer and they are looking for Volunteer Drivers in Prince William County and surrounding areas. What’s often standing between people with cancer and lifesaving treatment is a ride to get there. The American Cancer Society’s Road To Recovery program fills this gap.
