Felony Child Neglect – On June 4 at 3:40PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the area of Thenia Pl and Devils Reach Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a found child, according to a police department report from Officer Nathan Probus, police department spokesman.
Probus said, “The caller reported to police that she was walking her dogs along Devils Reach Rd when she encountered a small child walking in the roadway. The caller contacted police a short time later after attempts to locate the child’s parents were unsuccessful.”
Then, police officers arrived and attempted to obtain information from the child regarding her residence and other identifiable information without success, according to Probus’ report. Officers were able to locate the child’s residence approximately 10 minutes later with the parents inside, he added.
The child, a 2-year-old girl, was not injured and was released to the custody of a family friend by Child Protective Services. Following the investigation, both of the parents were charged.
Arrested on June 4:
Christopher Sean BAILEY, 31, of Woodbridge
Dana Christine TALBOT, 29, of Woodbridge
Both were charged with felony child neglect
Court Date: Pending | Bond: Both were released on $5,000 unsecured bonds
