Two PWCS music educators lauded by James Madison University
Each year James Madison University School of Music honors individuals who have made a significant contribution to the music education profession.
This year, Greg Oaks, director of Bands at Battlefield High School, is the recipient of the Outstanding Cooperating Teacher Award for his record of excellence in mentoring JMU music student teachers.
Thomas Tutwiler, choral director at Hylton High School, is the recipient of the Outstanding Music Educator Award for his sustained leadership in the profession of music education and excellence in music teaching.
