On Saturday, April 2, at 10:50 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a single-family home located in the 9300 block of Troy Drive in Bristow.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed a barn and neighboring shed on fire in lieu of the home with no threat to the home.
As a precautionary measure, the home was evacuated.
Firefighters commenced a defensive attack using a rural water operation to extinguish the fire.
No injuries reported.
A chaplain was on scene to assist the family due to two horses that perished in the fire.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
