Burglary While Armed – On Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021 at 5:19PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to The Residences at Somerhill Farms Apartments located in the 7300 block of Yountville Dr. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a home invasion. MPO Renee Carr, public information officer, said the investigation revealed that four male juveniles entered an apartment and brandished a firearm towards residents.
During the encounter, there was a brief verbal altercation before the suspects went into one of the bedrooms. While in the bedroom, the suspects removed items before fleeing in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.
On Nov. 5, detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit received information identifying one of the suspects as a 16-year-old male juvenile, who was taken into custody later that
evening. While investigating, detectives identified and obtained a detention order for a second suspect, identified as a 15-year-old male juvenile who was located and taken into custody by members of the Manassas Park Police the following day.
The case remains active as detectives seek to identify the two additional suspects.
