Two charged with reckless handling of a firearm in separate incidents
**ARRESTS**
Reckless Handling of a Firearm - On April 8 at 6:17PM, officers responded to the Summertree Condominiums located in the 7500 block of Margate Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic with weapons. The investigation revealed that the accused was involved in a verbal altercation with another family member, identified as a 57-year-old man, which escalated.
At some point during the encounter, the accused went to his bedroom and retrieved a rifle then brandished it toward the family member.
A struggle ensued during which the family member was able to pin the accused on the ground with the assistance of another resident of the apartment. When officers arrived, the accused was detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported. The rifle was recovered by officers. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reckless handling of a firearm, domestic assault & battery, and assault & battery

Arrested on April 7: [No Photo Available] Felony Child Endangerment - On April 6 at 9:32AM, officers responded to the 3400 block of Panther Pride Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2000 Nissan Maxima was pulling into a parking spot when she struck another unoccupied, parked vehicle causing minor damage. Upon further investigation, officers determined that the accused was intoxicated. A 5-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time and was unharmed. No injuries were reported.
