Two cab drivers robbed at knifepoint; police looking for same suspect

Incidents and arrests released by Prince William County Police Department on Monday, December 15, 2014

**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding – On December 14th at 9:55PM, officers responded to the Quantico Court Apartments located in the 19000 block of Fuller Heights Rd in Triangle (22172) for a report of an unconscious man. A caller reported to police that they had witnessed an alteration between two individuals in the above area. During the encounter, the caller reportedly heard a loud noise and one of the parties flee in a white SUV. The other party, identified as a 28 year old man of Triangle, remained in the area and had sustained injuries to his upper body believed to have been caused by a blunt object. When the caller notified police, the individual left the immediate area before officers arrived. Officers eventually located the man in a nearby apartment. The man was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. This incident was not random. The investigation continues.

Armed Robbery | Residential Burglary – On December 13th at 1:07AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 18400 block of Old Triangle Rd in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner, a 42 year old man, reported to police that he was inside his residence when he heard a knock at his door. Upon answering, two unknown men forcibly entered the apartment armed with shotguns. Once inside, the men took two wallets, a phone and other property from the homeowner and two other occupants of the residence. At one point, one of the occupants was struck in the face with a shotgun. Following the encounter, the men fled the apartment. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects. 
Suspect Descriptions:
Both suspects were described as black males, between 17 & 24 years of age, around 5’8”, approximately 135lbs with thin builds and medium complexions

1st male was last seen wearing a black & blue hooded windbreaker and faded blue jeans
2nd male was last seen wearing a black hooded windbreaker and faded blue jeans

Armed Robberies – On December 14th at 1:24PM, officers responded to the area of Notre Dame St and Hiram Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 46 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was a cab driver and had picked up a fare at the Costco in Manassas. After picking up the suspect, the victim drove him to the above area. Once stopped, the suspect pulled out a knife and took an undisclosed amount of money and a cell phone from the victim before fleeing on foot.

Later in the evening at 6:13PM, officers responded to the area of Blendia Ln and Ashton Ave in Manassas (20109) to investigate another robbery involving a cab driver. The victim, a 43 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he picked up a fare and drove to the above area where the suspect displayed a knife and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of money. Following the incident, the suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported in either incident.

A police K-9 was also used in both robberies to search for the suspect. These incidents are believed to be related and possibly involve the same suspect who matched similar descriptions provided by the victims in both cases.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 6’0”, 160-170lbs with short black hair
Last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans

Armed Robbery – On December 12th at 11:02PM, officers responded to the 1600 block of Fort Fisher Ct in the Town of Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 25 year old man of Fredericksburg, reported to police that he was making a pizza delivery to a residence in the above area. While in the area, the victim was approached by an unknown man who displayed a handgun and took the victim’s wallet. A second suspect was also heard but not seen by the victim. No injuries were reported. Following the encounter, the men fled the area on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 16 & 20 years of age, 5’10”, 140lbs with a thin build
Last seen wearing a heavy black jacket and a black scarf around his face

Residential Burglary – On December 14th at 10:22PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3500 block of Castle Hill Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00PM on December 13th and 10:22PM on December 14th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a window which was broken out. A TV and cell phone were reported missing.

Burglary to a Church – On December 10th at 8:28AM, officers responded to the Concordia Lutheran Church located at 3637 Graham Park Rd in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM on December 9th and 8:10AM on December 10th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the church shed on the property through a side window which was removed. A guitar was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On December 13th at 6:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7900 block of Ashton Ave in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 29 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a wood object from the kitchen counter and struck the victim in the head causing a significant laceration. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.
Arrested on December 13th:
Gonzalo GONZALEZ, 48, of the 7900 block of Ashton Ave in Manassas
Charged with malicious wounding
Court date: pending | Bond: held WITHOUT bond

Unlawful Wounding – On December 12th at 8:56PM, officers responded to the Hypothermia Shelter located at 14730 Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 39 year old man of no fixed address, reported to police that he and the accused were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved an aluminum can and threw it at the victim, striking him in the face. Minor injuries were reported. Both parties are residents of the shelter. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Kabraknai Diamante BONDS, 19, of no fixed address
Charged with unlawful wounding
Court date: January 13, 2015 | Bond: $5,000 secured
