Twice in same day suspects wanted by Prince William Police turn themselves in

Malicious Wounding | Abduction | Domestic Related *ARREST – On August 20, Harold Joseph SIMMONS, Jr., turned himself into police without incident at the Adult Detention Center in Manassas. The accused was wanted for a domestic assault which occurred at an apartment located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries on August 31.

Malicious Wounding | Abduction | Domestic Related [Previously Released] – On August 31 at 10:45PM, officers began to investigate a domestic assault which occurred earlier that evening at an apartment located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026).  The investigation revealed that the victim, a 41-year-old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim and dragged her down a hallway then placed his knee against her face causing a laceration. When the victim attempted to leave the apartment, the accused would not let her leave. The victim was eventually able to leave the apartment and respond to the Gar-Field Police Station. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Harold Joseph SIMMONS, Jr.  Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Malicious Wounding | Stabbing Investigation *ARREST – On August 20, Jamal Issac ROANE, turned himself into police without incident at the Adult Detention Center in Manassas. The accused was involved in a fight with weapons which occurred at a residence located in the 8000 block of Portwood Turn in Manassas on August 30 and had been hospitalized as a result of injuries he sustained.

Malicious Wounding | Stabbing Investigation [Previously Released] – On August 30 at 9:06PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8000 block of Portwood Turn in Manassas (20109) to investigate a fight with a weapon. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 38-year-old woman of Woodbridge was involved in a verbal altercation with a male acquaintance which escalated. During the encounter, the man struck the victim on the head causing a severe laceration. The suspect then assaulted another male acquaintance of the victim and a struggle ensued.  During the struggle, the suspect was stabbed in the lower body. The parties eventually separated and the police were contacted. The suspect was flown to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the suspect who remains hospitalized. No additional charges are pending. The investigation continues.
