In residential burglary reports, TV seems to be most popular item missing

Incidents and arrests released by Prince William County VA Police Department on Monday, June 15, 2015

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On June 13th at 9:47PM, officers responded to the 13700 block of Bonny Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victims, a 20 year old man and a 19 year old man – both of Woodbridge, reported to police that they were walking in the area above when they were approached by three unknown men. During the encounter, the men assaulted the victims before one of the suspects pulled a knife and demanded property. The suspects took one of the victim’s backpacks and fled the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects. During the search, the victim’s backpack was recovered; however, a speaker was still reported missing.
Suspect Descriptions:
• Black male, between 16 & 17 years of age, 5’7” with a thin build and dark complexion
Last seen wearing a ski mask, black jacket and khaki pants or shorts

• Black male, between 17 & 18 years of age, 6’0” with a thin build, dark complexion and short black hair
Last seen wearing a whit tank top, black pants or blue jeans

• Black male, between 18 & 20 year of age 6’3” with a dark complexion
Last seen wearing black long sleeve shirt and black pants

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On June 14th at 1:33AM, officers responded to the 13300 block of Nickleson Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the area above. When officers arrived, they located several shell casings in the roadway in front of a home on Nickleson Dr. No injuries or property damage were reported.

Residential Burglary – On June 15th at 2:37AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1800 block of Cedar Cove Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM on June 12th and 2:00AM on June 15th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the apartment. A laptop, jewelry, TV, tools and money were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On June 14th at 2:20PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15300 block of Postillion Tr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:00PM on June 12th and 12:00PM on June 14th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. A TV was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On June 13th at 12:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13800 block of Redford Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00PM on June 12th and 6:00AM on June 13th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. A TV, iPad and iPhone were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On June 12th at 8:50AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 10100 block of Woodbury Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00AM and 7:00AM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the apartment. A TV and other miscellaneous property were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On June 11th at 5:06PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 9900 block of Shallow Creek Lp in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM and 2:40PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the apartment through the front door which was found damaged. No property was reported missing.

Residential Burglary | Grand Larceny Auto – On June 11th at 3:01AM, officers responded to the 8800 of Vicksburg Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a suspicious vehicle. Officers arrived in the area and located an unoccupied vehicle which was still running. Upon checking the registration, officers determined that the vehicle belonged to a residence in the 8600 block of Bannerwood Dr. When officers made contact with the homeowner, it was learned that the vehicle had been stolen. The homeowner further reported that the keys were mistakenly left in the vehicle and that a purse was also missing from the home. The vehicle did not appear to be damaged and there were no signs of forced entry into the residence.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 13th at 7:26PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18300 block of Woodland Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 8:00AM on June 10th and 12:00AM on June 13th, entry was attempted into the home through a rear door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 12th at 10:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12000 block of Colvin Ln in Nokesville (20181) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that around 9:45PM, a noise was heard coming from the side of the home. When the residence was checked, the glass near a side door was found broken. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On June 14th at 2:33AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7400 block of Willoughby Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim multiple times to her back. When the victim attempted to get away, the accused grabbed her by the neck, knocking her to the ground. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Hugo Arnoldo CERNA GONZALEZ, 26, of the 7400 block of Willoughby Ln in Manassas
Charged with strangulation and domestic assault & battery
Court date: pending | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
