Tuesday, Sept. 17 is National Voter Registration Day
When We All Vote, Michelle Obama’s national, nonpartisan voting initiative, began its National Voter Registration Week of Action today, Sept. 16, to get thousands of Americans registered and ready to vote.
With less than 50 days until Election Day and some states’ voter registration deadlines approaching in early October, a news release said that When We All Vote is turning National Voter Registration Day on Sept.17 into an entire Week of Action from Sept. 16-22. Volunteers will host 100 voter registration drives across the country to get their communities registered.
On Tuesday, National Voter Registration Day, a When We All Vote news release said the group “will transform the sold-out Atlanta Dream vs. Chicago Sky WNBA game into a full voter registration push.”
When We All Vote also plans to launch a voter registration tour of Georgia schools with Hoop Bus to ensure eligible young people are registered to vote. Online, When We All Vote will present live DJs throughout the day on Twitch featuring Questlove and DJs from Mix4Change.
