July 13, 2016
Larceny
At approximately 1:30 a.m. on July 13, 2016, Manassas City Police responded to the 9500 block of Mine Gap Way for a report of a larceny. The reporting party told officers that approximately two hours prior, he was sitting in his garage when an unknown male approached and initiated a conversation about bicycles. After complimenting the victim on his bicycle, the victim allowed the suspect to ride the bicycle for a moment however he rode out of sight and did not return. The stolen bicycle, a silver mountain bike with double suspension, was valued at $600.
Description of Suspect: Black male, 5’10”, last seen wearing dreadlocks and a grey shirt
Stolen Auto
At approximately 7:40 a.m. on July 12, 2016, Manassas City Police responded to the 8300 block of Tillett Loop for a report of a stolen automobile. The reporting party told officers that her black 2006 Ford f250 pickup truck was stolen from where it had been parked in the driveway. The vehicle was valued at $25,000.

Cruelty to Animals
While conducting regular patrols in the area of Dean Dr at approximately 6:10 a.m. on July 12, 2016, Manassas City Police observed an abandoned dog tied to a fence post near the roadway. Manassas City Animal Control Officers found no identifying information on the dog, a 42-lb female in poor health, once she was transferred to the shelter. Anyone with information about the dog in question or the whereabouts of its owners is encouraged to call the Manassas Animal Shelter at 703-257-2420.
Larceny of Auto Parts
At approximately 3:15 a.m. on July 7, 2016, Manassas City Police responded to the 9700 block of Sassafras Ct for a report of stolen automobile parts. The reporting party told officers that at approximately 3 a.m., she discovered all four tires removed and place beside her vehicle and the lug nuts, valued together at $40, missing. A second party reported seeing two male subjects near the vehicle at the time of the theft. When he confronted the suspects, they fled in a grey Nissan Rogue.
Tampering with Vehicle
At approximately 10 p.m. on July 6, 2016, Manassas City Police responded to the 8711 block of Libeau Dr for a report of a suspicious person. The reporting party told officers that just prior to their arrival, he was informed an unknown male was walking down the street-peering into cars. The citizen then observed an unknown male open the door to a black Jeep Wrangler parked in the driveway of a residence on the 9900 block of Fendall St. Knowing the subject was not the owner of the vehicle, the citizen confronted the subject who then fled on foot in the direction of Hastings Dr. The owner of the vehicle reported no items missing as a result of the incident.
