Transportation partner, OmniRide, chosen Member of the Year by Prince William Chamber of Commerce

Prince William Chamber of Commerce honored OmniRide with the Prince William Chamber of Commerce 2023-2024 Chamber Member of the Year Award on June 20. The award was announced at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting.

Several OmniRide staff members were in attendance and accepted the award on behalf of the organization – including Dr. Bob Schneider, OmniRide Executive Director; Joe Stainsby, OmniRide Chief Development Officer; Holly Morello, Manager of OmniRide Transportation Demand Management (TDM); and Lakeshia Lewis, OmniRide TDM Specialist.

The award recognizes active participation, advocacy, integrity, community support and overall contributions to the Chamber’s mission of helping businesses continue to thrive and grow. OmniRide was chosen for the award based on its dedication to community service and high-quality commuter services for the Greater Prince William area.

In 2023, OmniRide was awarded the Chamber’s Excellence in Business Award (11 or more employees). This award recognizes businesses that display overall outstanding contributions to the Chamber and/or to the business community.

OmniRide is the operating name for the mobility services offered by the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC).
The organization provides:
•  Local bus service in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park;
• Express service for commuters along the I-95 and I-66 corridors to employment centers in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.;
• Metro Express which connects riders with Metro Stations; and
• OmniRide Connect Microtransit service in Manassas Park and in the Dumfries/Triangle/Quantico areas, which transports riders in vans that are dispatched on demand.
• OmniRide Employer Services to assist local businesses in establishing or expanding an employee transportation program.
