Brentsville District Town Hall Meeting on land development/applications and proposals will be held on Thursday, September 10 at Marsteller Middle School, 14000 Sudley Manor Drive, Bristow, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Land use decisions made by the Prince William Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) have a direct effect on the community and daily lives; traffic, parks and recreation, schools and taxes, to name a few.
Brentsville Supervisor Jeanine Lawson said, in a press release, “It is very important to me that our residents have the facts and also understand the processes required for land use applications.”
These are the pending cases which Lawson plans to review with residents at the meeting:
•All Area Dulles Muslim Society (ADAMS)
Proposed Special Use Permit for a religious institution accommodating 500 worshipers at the corner of Schaeffer Ln and Vint Hill Rd.
•Rollins Ford Park High School Site
Board of County Supervisors proposed trade of Avendale school site property for Rollins Ford Park property for a high school site at Rollins Ford Rd and Vint Hill Rd.
•Gas Station at Sudley Manor
Proposed Special Use Permit for a gas station/convenience store in Braemar at the corner of Sudley Manor Dr. and Vint Hill Rd.
•Stone Haven
Resubmitted Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezoning for 1,006 homes with some commercial located at Linton Hall, Devlin and Wellington Rds.
•Strathmore (formerly known as Pioneer Assemblage)
Brookfield proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezoning for 405 homes adjacent to Braemar at the corner of Pioneer Dr. and Vint Hill Rd.
