Burns & McDonnell’s Transmission & Distribution group reports it has won a competitive contract with the City of Manassas to provide electrical engineering services related to the design, evaluation, and maintenance of the city’s electrical and water systems, according to a news release from the Atlanta based firm.
Burns & McDonnell responsibilities for electrical engineering projects will include investigations, studies, reports, design and related services.
With a depth of experience with transmission and distribution including expertise in distributed generation, the Burns & McDonnell team includes engineers and project managers from Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and Atlanta.
“This partnership allows Manassas to focus on its core business with the full confidences that a highly capable team, Burns & McDonnell, will be at their service if the need arises,” Dotun Famakinwa, Substation Department Manager and Lead Project Manager, Burns & McDonnell, was quoted as saying in a news release. “Among multiple benefits, it provides efficiencies that improve electrical and water services while reducing costs to the local and regional area.”
With a successful track record of providing professional engineering services on-schedule and on-budget, Burns & McDonnell’s Transmission& Distribution (T&D) group recently earned a #1 ranking on Engineering News-Record magazine’s annual list of firms providing engineering design services in the T&D sector, the press release added.
