School Threat Investigation – On November 2, a School Resource Officer (SRO) received information regarding a potential threat of violence to Battlefield High School located at 15000 Graduation Dr in Haymarket (20169).
The investigation revealed that two students made statements of potential violence towards the school on Instagram on October 25 and 26. An individual in California saw the posting on social media and reported the threat to the FBI on November 2.
The FBI notified Prince William County police, prompting the investigation. The SRO subsequently identified both students and determined that the risk to the school was not credible. Following the investigation, the SRO obtained charges against the students on November 5. The case will be handled through Juvenile Intake.

School Threat Investigation – On November 1, a School Resource Officer (SRO) received information regarding a potential threat of violence to Hylton High School located at 14051 Spriggs Rd in Woodbridge (22193).
The investigation revealed that a student made statements of potential violence towards the school through a phone message that day. The school and the SRO were notified of the threat and subsequently identified the student involved on Nov. 2. The SRO determined that the risk to the school was not credible. Following the investigation, the SRO obtained a charge against the student on Nov. 2. The case will be handled through Juvenile Intake.
