For the second year in a row, the Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals has chosen a Prince William County Public Schools administrator as the winner of the National Outstanding Assistant Principal Award for Virginia.
Melissa Yuditsky learned of her selection at a ceremony held at T. Clay Wood Elementary School.
“I am incredibly honored to be your assistant principal,” Yuditsky said. “How lucky I feel every day to come to work and work with such a phenomenal staff that cares for others, and to see your smiling faces each and every day.”
“Mrs. Yuditsky does a superb job promoting educational excellence, and our school record of student achievement reflects her leadership. She sets high expectations for school staff and students and is respected by all,” Principal Andrew Buchheit said.
Jim Baldwin, Executive Director of the Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals (VAESP); Donna Kirby, VAESP president and principal at Victory Elementary, and Jarcelynn Hart, associate superintendent for Western Elementary Schools, gave congratulatory remarks.
