Incidents and arrests released on Wednesday, June 22, 2016
**INCIDENTS**
Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding – On June 22 at 2:50AM, officers responded to the Exxon service station located at 17164 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery.
An employee reported to police that he was approached by two unknown men while he was outside the store. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a handgun then forced him back into the store and demanding money.
At some point, one of the suspects struck another employee, a 37 year old man of Triangle, on the head with the handgun causing a severe laceration then discharged two rounds into a nearby wall.
The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area in an unknown vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. No other injuries or property damage were reported. The investigation continues.
Suspect Descriptions:
Two black males, between 18 & 30 years of age, 5’11’’, 175lbs with a thin build
Suspect 1 was last seen wearing a white shirt covering his face, blue jeans and gloves.
Suspect 2 was last seen wearing a white shirt covering his face, blue jeans, black jacket and gloves.
Residential Burglary – On June 21 at 12:49PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3400 block of Chelsea in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 3:00PM on June 20 and 11:00AM on June 21. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a window which was shattered. No property was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On June 20 at 1:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18000 block of Possum Point Rd in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary in progress. A resident of the home reported to police that an unknown juvenile entered the residence through an unsecured door. When the victim challenged the suspect, he fled the residence on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. No property was reported missing.
Suspect Descriptions:
Black male, approximately 16 years of age, 5’09”, 185lbs with brown hair and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a red shirt, black shorts, and a blue and white horizontally stripped backpack
**ARRESTS**
Residential Burglaries – On June 21 at 6:03PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18400 block of Kerill Rd in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he was preparing to leave his residence when he found that his vehicle parked inside his attached garage had been entered and ransacked. At the same time, the victim observed an unknown juvenile, later identified as the accused, walking away from his residence. During the investigation, officers learned that a second garage in the same neighborhood had been entered as well by the same suspect. A short time later, responding officers located and detained the accused without incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on June 21:
A 17 year old male juvenile of Triangle
Charged with 2 counts of burglary and 1 count of grand larceny
