Attempted Strong Arm Robbery – On November 12 at 5:40PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1400 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 38-year-old male of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking towards his residence when he was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, the men grabbed the victim and assaulted him. One of the suspects removed the victim’s wallet from his pocket. After finding no money, the suspect threw it back to the victim before fleeing on foot. The victim returned to his residence and contacted police later in the evening. Minor injuries were reported.

Hispanic male, between 20 and 25, 6’0”, long black hair

Strangulation | Domestic Assault and Battery – On November 11 at 8:25PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13100 block of Putnam Cir in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault.
The victim, a 31-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim against a wall. At one point, the accused grabbed a shirt and wrapped it around the victim’s neck. The parties eventually separated and the victim contacted police.
The accused left the home prior to police arriving. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Brandon Charles THOMAS.

Brandon Charles THOMAS, 30, of the 13100 block of Putnam Cir in Woodbridge
Described as a black male, 5’11”, 170lbs with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for strangulation and domestic assault and battery
Malicious Wounding – On November 11 at 7:39PM, officers responded to a residence located 14400 block of Lamar Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. When officers arrived, they located the victim, a 35-year-old male of Woodbridge, suffering from a laceration to the head. The investigation revealed that the victim and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal dispute that turned physical. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the head with a blunt object. The accused was subsequently arrested without incident. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for further treatment.
