Incidents and arrests released by Prince William County Police Department on Thursday, June 30, 2016
**INCIDENTS**
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On June 29 at 2:50PM, officers responded to the 2400 block of Chinkapin Oak Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. When officers arrived in the area, additional gunshots were heard.
Upon checking the area, an officer located three male suspects who immediately fled on foot. The officer issued commands to the suspects, at which point, two of the three complied and were detained without incident.
A police K-9 and helicopter assistance from Fairfax County Police were used to search the area for the remaining suspect who was not located. This individual later turned himself into police that evening. The firearm was also located. All three suspects were identified as juveniles, all 16 years of age, and released to their parents pending charges. No property damage or injuries were reported.
Commercial Burglary – On June 29 at 7:53AM, officers responded to Bravo’s Auto Repair located at 14773 Build America Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9 p.m. on June 28 and 7:15 a.m. on June 29. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the business through a front glass door which was found shattered. Money was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 30 at 4:23AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8300 block of Mary Jane Dr in Manassas (20112) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that he was inside his residence when he heard the doorbell ring. The homeowner initially ignored the doorbell then a short time later, he saw two unknown men to the rear of the home. When the men saw the homeowner, they immediately fled on foot. The bottom rear window screen was found damaged and tampered with. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing. The homeowner was unable to describe the suspects.
Sexual Assault Investigation – On June 24, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in 2006 at a residence located in Woodbridge. The investigation revealed that the victim, a then 5 year old girl of Woodbridge, was sexually assaulted by two family members on more than one occasion. The victim recently disclosed the assaults and police were contacted. Following the investigation,both individuals, identified as Edwin TORRES-DIAZ and Yoni TORRES-DIAZ, were arrested on June 29.

Charged with aggravated sexual battery and forcible sodomy
Yoni William TORRES DIAZ, 26, of the 14000 block of Matthews Dr in Woodbridge
Charged with 2 counts of aggravated sexual battery

Sexual Assault Investigation – On June 3, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in May of this year at a residence located in Woodbridge. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 5 year old girl of Woodbridge, was sexually assaulted by a family member. The victim recently disclosed the incident to a family member who contacted police. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as a 16 year old male juvenile, was arrested on June 29.

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On June 28 at 5:28PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 19000 block of Fuller Heights Rd in Triangle (22172) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 46 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal alteration which escalated. During the encounter, the victim went to leave the residence and was prevented from doing so by the accused when he blocked the door. The accused pushed the victim and grabbed her wrist, forcibly pulling her away from the area of the door. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. When officers arrived, the accused was detained without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Harry FRANCIS, was arrested.
