Suspect in June 10 abduction in Manassas arrested on June 19

Abduction | Strangulation *ARREST - On June 19, 2020, the suspect sought in connection to the abduction that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 9100 block of Amherst Ct. in Manassas (20111) on June 10, was arrested. The accused, identified as Dustin David GREER, was located and taken into custody without incident.

Abduction | Strangulation [Previously Released] - On June 10 at 1:14AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9100 block of Amherst Ct. in Manassas (20111) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 44-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s throat and prevented her from leaving the room. While inside the room, the accused took the victim’s phone as she was attempting to contact the police. After a brief struggle, the victim was able to separate from the accused and contact the police. The accused fled the area prior to police arriving at the location. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Dustin David GREER. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
