Suspect escapes while at hospital in Woodbridge

*INCIDENT: Prisoner Escape | Woodbridge

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center @ 2300 Opitz Blvd. The suspect was arrested earlier this morning, February 13th, around 1:00AM on several failure to appear and probation violation charges. While in custody, the suspect complained of pain and was subsequently transported to the hospital for evaluation. While at the hospital, the suspect accessed a secure hallway from her room and was able to escape from the facility around 4:00AM. No force was used in the escape and the suspect is not considered violent. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police @ 703-792-6500.

Suspect: Theresa Elaine BROWN*, 24, of the 15500 block of Traverser Ct in Woodbridge

Described as a black female, 5’2”, 220lbs with a heavy build – last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, black sweatpants and possibly no shoes

Currently wanted for escape from custody without force
