Suspect arrested; police find baby in back of vehicle involved in accidents in Woodbridge

**ARRESTS**

Felony Child Endangerment | Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On March 13 at 9:32AM, a Prince William COunty Police officer was proactively patrolling in the area of Dale Blvd and Hillendale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) when he observed a vehicle disregard a red traffic light. The officer initiated a traffic stop, approached the vehicle, and identified the driver as the accused. When the officer returned to his cruiser, the accused sped away in the vehicle and fled the officer, according to Officer Nathan Probus, spokesman for the Prince William County Police Department.

At 9:45AM, officers received a report of a hit and run on Hillendale Dr at Hanover Ct involving the vehicle driven by the accused. The accused struck a vehicle in the rear fender three times before fleeing the area. 

At 10:12AM, the accused rear ended a second vehicle in the area of Smoketown Rd at Minnieville Rd. Officers quickly arrived and located the accused who they determined was intoxicated. When officers attempted to detain the accused, she resisted and kicked two officers in the upper body before eventually being detained. A 2-month-old baby was subsequently located secured in a car seat in the vehicle driven by the accused and was unharmed. The baby was released into the custody of another family member.

Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Rachel Ann RABASCO, was arrested. No injuries were reported as a result of the two accidents.

Charged with 1 count of child endangerment, 2 counts of assault & battery on a LEO, 1 count of felony eluding, 1 count of felony hit & run, 1 count of driving under the influence, and several other traffic related charges
