Gainesville District Supervisor Pete Candland will host a town hall meeting to focus on education funding issues in Prince William County on November 21st, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Alvey Elementary School, 5300 Waverly Farm Drive, Haymarket.
Candland says he wants to hear directly from parents and educators about some of the issues facing Prince William County.
Candland was quoted in a news release as saying, “I’ve said it before, that I believe our schools have reached a crisis point in Prince William County. We can no longer put our heads in the sand when it comes to the issues in our local schools. As Supervisor, I will continue to push to address this issue. This town hall meeting will continue the conversation regarding our education system.”
Last month, Candland initiated the discussion to reevaluate education proffers that have become part of development applications to Prince William County government.
