Colgan High School sophomore Lierin Simms was the grand prize winner n the 2018 Water Art Invitational, sponsored annually by the Prince William County Service Authority. Interpreting the theme “Water Makes Everything Happen,” Simms’ painting captured the importance of clean water to humans and how we impact the environment.
High school students enrolled in public, private and home schools in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park were eligible to participate in the art invitational. Winners were announced at the event on March 8, where all artwork was on display.
