STORMY WEATHER: Unfair to Prince William County Fair

The area needed rain but what fell Tuesday was too much. Officials closed the Prince William County Fair today and this evening due to the weather, according to Chris Long, Fair Event Manager.
The fair will reopen on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 5 p.m. The pet contest that had been slated for Tuesday evening has been rescheduled to Saturday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m.
The event, now in its 65th year, is held at the fairgrounds off VA 234 outside Manassas. For more information go to http://www.pwcfair.com.
