Stabbing Investigation – On August 7 at 8:00PM, officers responded to the intersection of Toms River Lp. and Allen Dent Rd. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they located the victim, a 22-year-old man, suffering from stab wounds to the upper body. Officers rendered aid until rescue personnel arrived. The victim was flown to a local area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses reported to police that there were two men involved in a verbal altercation with the victim. During the encounter, the victim was stabbed before the suspects fled the area on foot.
Additional officers and a police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. This incident was not random. The investigation continues.
