Speeding bullet travels through outdoor playset, into kitchen, breaking water pipe inside cabinet
Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 5:00PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 3400 block of Flint Hill Pl. in the Lake Ridge area of Woodbridge (22192) for a destruction of property.
The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 2:00AM and 4:00AM, a bullet traveled through the outdoor play set and into the home through the kitchen wall before striking a water pipe. A bullet fragment was located in the same kitchen cabinet as the broken pipe.
No injuries or additional property damage were reported. Neighborhood residents also reported hearing gunshots in the area during the timeframe.
Evidence collected from the crime scene is being analyzed.
