Space shuttle Discovery arrives from Florida Space Center

Discovery was supposed to be in the D.C. area about 10 a.m. on April 17 but arrived ahead of schedule, around 9:40 a.m.

Discovery, the National Air and Space Administration’s oldest space shuttle, arrived at Dulles Airport Tuesday morning from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida., escorted by an AT-38 jumbo jet. The historic space capsule will be housed at the National Air and Space Museum’s Udvar-Hazy Center near Dulles Airport.
