If snow really does come down late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, people may be wondering whether they should send their youngsters to school.
Prince William County posts announcements of school schedule changes “immediately after a decision is made on all school division websites including pwcs.edu, facebook.com/PWCSNews, and twitter.com/pwcsnews, PWCS-TV (Comcast channel 18 and Verizon channel 36), and on the school division’s telephone closing line, 703-791-2776. Subscribers to E-News can choose to receive closing announcements by email, text message, or both,” according to a Nov. 21 press release.
Fauquier County asks parents to “consult the website and area media outlets for the latest information on school closings and early dismissals. Parents and students are urged not to call schools, administrative offices or radio stations as it is essential that these telephone lines be kept open for communication to schools and media outlets,” according to its website.
