Malicious Wounding | Reckless Handling of a Firearm *ARREST – On June 20, Lori Lee CUNNINGHAM turned herself into police without incident at the Gar-Field Station in Woodbridge. The accused was wanted in connection to a malicious wounding at a residence located in the 12800 block of Half Moon Ln in Woodbridge on May 9.

Malicious Wounding | Reckless Handling of a Firearm *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED [Previously Released] – Detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Lori Lee CUNNINGHAM, who was involved in the domestic related shooting incident which was reported to have occurred in the 12800 block of Half Moon Ln in Woodbridge on May 9. The accused was released from a local hospital on June 12 and attempts to locate her have been unsuccessful.

Malicious Wounding | Reckless Handling of a Firearm [Previously Released] – On May 9 at 8:51PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12800 block of Half Moon Ln (originally reported on Chaste Tree Pl) in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a report of shots fired. When officers arrived in the area, neighbors reported to police that a gunshot was heard and that a victim, identified as a 50 year old woman, was laying on a rear deck suffering from unknown injuries. Officers, using a neighboring home, were able to make verbal and visual contact with the victim who was determined to be suffering from a severe head injury after being struck with a firearm. Officers utilized a ladder to safely evacuate the victim from the deck area to a nearby ambulance. Helicopter support from the Fairfax County Police Department was also used at that time to provide overhead visual support during the extraction. Once safely removed the area, members of the Tactical Unit checked the interior of the home where a second individual, identified as a 53 year old woman, was located suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the upper body. Officers entered the home and rendered aid to that individual before rescue crews arrived. Both parties were transported to area hospitals with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The preliminary investigation into the incident revealed that both parties were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. Charges are pending. The investigation

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On June 20 at 9:44PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2600 block of Heth Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 5:30PM and 9:30PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a bedroom window. Miscellaneous property was reported missing.

Residential Burglaries – On June 20 at 7:04PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4700 block of Hopkins Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. During the investigation, officers learned that bicycles were stolen from two residences in the area. The other home was located in the 15800 block of Montview Dr. In both instances, entry was made into attached garages through overhead doors which were left open. While investigating the above incidents, a third homeowner reported that bicycles were taken from the backyard of his residence in the 4900 block Benecia Ln. All three residences are located in the same neighborhood. In total, six bicycles were reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Armed Robbery – On June 20 at 6:13PM, officers responded to the 13300 block of Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 59 year old man of no fixed address, reported to police that he and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation over beer. When the victim refused to share, the accused brandished a handgun and demanded the beer. The victim gave the accused the beer and contacted police. Officers located the accused nearby and determined the handgun was a BB gun. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Gerome EVANS, was arrested without incident.
