Sherri Croghan, a teacher of gifted students, tapped for SENG award

Sherri Croghan, a teacher of gifted students who attend Pattie Elementary School, has been named to the SENG Honor Roll in recognition of her outstanding service to gifted children. She is known for taking the time to work with each child to identify his or her strengths and help the child shine, each in his or her own unique way.

The parent who nominated Croghan said that her class was the highlight of her son’s week.

“Mrs. Croghan is upbeat, funny and outgoing—a teacher who forms bonds with her students and makes learning a wonderful and entertaining experience for all of them. She loves her job and it shows,” the parent said.

Helping families and communities influence the development of giftedness in children and adults and fostering mental health and social competence in gifted individuals is the mission of SENG, known in the gifted community as Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted.
