Many politicians don’t understand how changes to Social Security will affect Virginians and their families, according to the American Association for Retired Persons (AARP).
Now AARP invites the community to a free public forum on Thursday, September 26 In Alexandria to have their say on the future of Social Security.
AARP Virginia State Director Bill Kallio will host the community conversation on proposed changes to Social Security at the public event from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, 905 Wythe Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314
Participants can join the discussion about how to find responsible, common-sense solutions that will secure Social Security for future generations.
Co-sponsors of this community conversation are Senior Services of Alexandria, Northern Virginia Urban League and Alexandria Commission on Aging.
