A water main break near Dale City Elementary School has cut water supply to the school and surrounding area, but school remains open, as normal. Students will be shuttled to Bel Air Elementary to use bathroom facilities until portable toilets arrive. Hand sanitizers are available to assure cleanliness and safety. Boxed lunches and bottled water will be provided.
More details will be provided as they are available. Students should remain at school, wherever possible, though students who must be picked up will receive an excused absence, according to Irene Cromer, supervisor of the community relations office for Prince William County public schools.
