Delegate David Ramadan (R-87th), who represents part of the Prince William County area, says he was notified Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 30, that the State Corporation Commission (SCC) issued an order initiating an investigation into the Toll Road Investors Partnership II (TRIP II), the operator of the Dulles Greenway.
Ramadan was quoted in a news release as saying, “I am pleased that the SCC has responded to my request for an investigation into the toll rates on the Greenway. I am looking forward to seeing this investigation move forward. Further, I will continue to stay involved until distance pricing is implemented.”
According to the news release, Ramadan first filed a complaint with the SCC on Dec. 7, 2012, in response to TRIP II’s request for a toll increase. Ramadan’s complaint outlined how the current toll structure is in violation of the Code of Virginia and is in need of review.
