Robbery attempted while Woodbridge man was taking out trash

**INCIDENTS**

Attempted Armed Robbery – On October 17 at 6:30PM, officers responded to the 14100 block of Cuddy Lp in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 49-year-old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was taking out the trash when he was approached from behind and pushed to the ground. The victim further reported that he also felt, what appeared to be, a gun pressed against his back. During the encounter, the unknown suspect demanded money. When the victim told the suspect he did not have money on him, the suspect fled. While fleeing, the suspect yelled to another individual who was not seen. No injuries were reported and no property was taken. A police K-9 searched for the suspects who were not located. The victim was unable to describe the suspects.

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On October 16 at 11:45PM, a Prince William County Police Officer was on routine, proactive patrol in the area of Irongate Way and Cannonball Ct in Manassas (20109) when the officer heard gunshots. The officer checked the area and observed three individuals attempting to flee the area. The officer was able to stop one of those individuals, identified as a 16-year-old male juvenile. The juvenile reported to the officer that he and two other acquaintances were in the area to purchase marijuana from an unknown man. While walking to meet with the individual, the victim allegedly encountered three unknown men, one of which brandished a handgun and shot towards him. The group immediately dispersed. Officers noted inconsistencies in the juvenile’s story. No injuries or property damage were reported. A police K-9 searched for the suspect who was not located. This incident does not appear to be random.
Suspect Description:
Hispanic male, between 16 & 20 years of age, 5’6”, 150lbs with a thin build and light complexion
Last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, red “Chicago Bulls” hat, and dark shoes

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On October 16 at 2:06PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4700 block of Kirkdale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a destruction of property call. The homeowner reported to police that on October 15, around 10:00PM, a loud noise was heard coming from outside the residence. The following day, the homeowner discovered broken glass in a vacant bedroom and, what appeared to be, a bullet hole in the window. This incident is possibly related to a similar call on Keytone Rd reported around the same time on October 15 [see release below]. Officers located a shell casing in the roadway. No injuries were reported.

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling [Previously Released] – On October 15 at 9:56PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13400 block of Keytone Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the above area. A silver sedan was also observed leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Officers arrived and located several shell casings in the roadway. During a check of the homes, one residence was determined to have been struck. No one was home at the time of the incident and no injuries or other property damage were reported.

Residential Burglary – On October 17 at 2:10PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10000 block of King George Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 3:00AM and 3:15PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Jewelry and money were reported missing.
