PWCS’ Parent Portal and some website capabilities disabled by nationwide disruption
Parents/students with existing login and password information can sign on to school websites to access schedules, beginning Saturday, Aug. 29. Schedules will also be available in homerooms, according to a news release from Prince William County School information office.
The following services/data are unavailable until further notice:
• Any login to Parent Portal information for grades, attendance, etc.;
• New Parent Portal Registration;
• Online updating of emergency contact information (as requested on “Emergency Contact Card,” and welcome back letter);
• New parent access to combined “My Family” display of class pages.
Prince William County Schools’ online access is having difficulties caused by vendor-related data problems occurring nationwide. PWCS is working with the vendor to restore full service as soon as possible, though it is unlikely before opening day, a news release on Aug. 27 said.
